Purpose of the grant:
To provide affordable housing and comprehensive services for low income seniors.
Impact:
Sarah's Circle operates an affordable-housing senior residence and a wellness center that provides programs and services for its
residents and other senior members of the community. It is more than a building or a residence for older persons. Rather, Sarah's Circle strives to
change the way society relates to an aging community.
Sarah's Circle is based upon the philosophy that intellectual and spiritual growth is integral to and continues at every stage of life. The organization
was founded on the conviction that seniors have much to contribute to the community, such as teaching learning circle classes or volunteering in the neighborhood.
Mission:
The mission of Sarah's Circle is to create a community that enables elderly persons of limited means to live with dignity in a well-maintained,
safe and supportive environment that nurtures intellectual, social and spiritual growth and physical well being.
