Purpose of the grant:
To promote the adoption by businesses of effective programs and strategies for improving the economic stability of working families.
Impact:
The challenges working families face, on a daily basis, represent a very high cost to the business bottom line. Because of this understanding and to reduce these costs, American corporations have been investing in supporting their working families for nearly two decades. Investments in working family support strategies have consistently shown an increase in workforce retention, productivity and loyalty.
Corporate Voices for Working Families brings business leaders, corporate perspectives and working-family expertise to the table with policymakers and activists to develop, share and achieve solutions. The business case is clear but has not been clearly articulated in federal or state policy discussions. Corporate Voices adds a much-needed dimension to such discussions.
Mission:
To bring the private sector voice into the public dialogue on issues affecting working families.
