• Community Foundation of Dutchess County Announces Scholarships and Awards

  The Poughkeepsie-based Community Foundation of Dutchess County is offering forty-four different scholarships and award programs. • Electronic Filing Requirement for Small Tax-Exempt Organizations

  Beginning in January 2008, small tax-exempt organizations that previously were not required to file returns may be required to file an electronic notice, Form 990-N, Electronic Notice (e-Postcard). To learn more, visit the IRS web site.

• New York Library Computer Use Policy

  In response to requests from our visitors, library computers now allow selected downloading (maximum 100 records) to flash drives/USBs. As an alternative, you may print or download to floppy disk. The library does not sell flash drives; if you are using a flash drive, we ask that you take precautions against transmitting viruses. For information about e-mailing records off site, consult the library's full policy on computer use and Internet access.
