Please Note: Each year, The William Bingham Foundation selects a particular area of interest for grant requests coming from organizations with which we do not already have a relationship. In 2009, the Foundation will consider support for environmental organizations working to conserve the natural resources of Maine. This focus is in effect only for 2009.

Applications will be accepted from environmental organizations located in Maine and from national environ-mental organizations operating a program that focuses on Maine, or with a dedicated branch office in Maine. Because this is a one-time grant, requests for new programs or for the addition of new staff positions will not be accepted. Prospective applicants may contact the Foundation for further clarification.

After all applications have been reviewed, one or more applications will be selected for development into a complete proposal to be considered by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees in August 2009. Applicants not se-lected for consideration by the Board will be notified by May 31. The maximum grant amount is $25,000.

We invite eligible applicants providing services to low-income breast cancer patients to use the common application "short form" developed by Ohio Grantmakers Forum.

Include the words "2009 Application" in the subject line of the email message. With the exception of the project budget, please do not include the attachments listed on the form.

Organizations not falling into this category that have been invited by the Foundation to submit a proposal may not download this form and are required to contact the Foundation to obtain the appropriate forms and application deadlines.
