One common search that requires the use of a stop word is searching for grants that have been awarded for
after-school programs. Though the word "after" is a stop word that FC Search
won't recognize in Text Search, there are a couple of solutions:
You can select the term
Neighborhood centers from the Subjects index, then type school program
in the entry box
adjacent to Text Search. Click on the Search button or press the Enter key
to identify 30 grant records for after-school programs.
Another option is to type "afterschool"
(as one word) in the entry box adjacent to Text Search, then click on the Search button or
press the Enter key. This will generate a list of 19 grant records.
